Reviving an 18th century French tradition

through a unique and masterful infusion of premium vsop cognac with rich robusta coffee

The 1st ultra-premium French VSOP Cognac, 80 proof coffee spirit, made in France
Grand Brulot revives a 200 plus year old French tradition where rich Coffee was blended with Cognac to create an exquisite tasting drink: The Brulôt.
The legend of Café Brûlot extends back to New Orleans in the early 1800s and the infamous Jean Lafitte. Whether or not the French pirate actually created the first pairing of café and cognac is a question that may never be answered. But the legend absolutely lives in today’s after-dinner Café Brûlot tradition in the finest French Quarter restaurants.

This uniquely dry and smooth blend of VSOP cognac and coffee delivers flavor notes of nutmeg & vanilla with subtle honey aroma, combined with rich, roasted, dark & dense nose and flavor from 100% Robusta Espresso.

Grand Brulot has been carefully crafted so it can serve as the core ingredient to premium coffee cocktails but also enjoyed in your favorite Manhattan, Old Fashioned, as a coffee shot or sipped on ice with an orange peel as a premium dining digestif.

Our twist on the world renowned classic. GB enhances the Espresso Martini and delivers an indulgent medley of rich coffee combined with premium French Cognac. A deliciously revitalising cocktail that is balanced, warming and eminently drinkable.

50 ml of GB
25 ml of Coffee
10 ml of Sugar syrup

Use a shaker. Pour GB, coffee and sugar together.  Shake it vigorously with ice then double strain it. Pour into a chilled Martini glass.

The Old Fashioned developed during the 19th century and was given its name in the 1880’s. The Old Fashioned is one our favourite cocktails and we wanted to create a Grand Brulot variant by adding the elegant and savoury flavours of Cognac and Coffee to it.

60ml of GB
(or 30ml GB and 30ml Bourbon)
5 ml of Sugar
2 Dashes of Whisky barrel bitters

Gradually stir the liquid and sugar then strain it.

It all began for the Sazerac cocktail in the early 1800’s when Antoine Amédée Peychaud mixed Cognac with his Peychaud bitters. In 1859 the drink was the signature drink of the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans, where it received its name. Our is a tribute with a coffee twist evolves one of the most elegant Cognac cocktails out there.

25ml Cognac
25 ml GB
2 dashes of Peychaud bitters
2 dashes of Angostura bitter
1 bar spoon of sugar

Stir gently the ingredients together.  Pour in a rock glass and add an orange twist.

The blend is then aged in French oak barrels to allow the melding of flavor notes over time.
